LIVE IN ITALY: new CD from Nic Potter & Friends

New Live CD from Nic
Soon an exclusive interview with Nic...

Live in Italy Cd available Here
and
more info about Live in Italy Here

How this project came to be...

It all started with a call from David Jackson - "Hi Nic, I'm off to Italy tomorrow to play at a festival in Lecco. I've got a spare airline ticket, would you like to come ? ". My immediate answer was " Yes, see you at the airport tomorrow ".
After we arrived in magical Lecco I spent 2 days checking out the (mostly local) bands.
I soon realised that there was a huge wealth of original talent here.
Tow of the bands that really impressed me were La Betoniera
(particulary their singer Francesca Arrigoni) and a first class rock
band 'Supernova'. Their guitarist Francesco Giaffreda really blew me
away !
On the plane home I just knew that I just had to work with
these incredible musicians and set about to trying to contact them via
the promoter.
After a few days I heard from them. Their answer was " Yes, definitely count us in !
". So I returned to Lecco several times and we had lots of very
exciting and enjoyable jam sessions. It was just fantastic and always a
really good time.
David Jackson came on board, as did Gigi
Cavalli Cochi and Tony Pagliuca and later Walter Rivolta and Maurizio
Consonni - all great musicians.
The 'Nic Potter and Friends' project was well and truly up and running.
We played several great concerts (2 of which were recorded and make up this Nic Potter and Friends - 'Live in Italy' CD).
I feel privileged to have played with such wonderful musicians and to have made good true friends.
Grazie mille !
